Shriner's Drag Racing and Hot Rod Expo Recap

Bradley Sisson Feb 21 2018

The Shriner's Drag Racing and Hot Rod Expo, held February 16th and 17th at the Greensboro Coliseum, is one of the largest indoor car shows in the Southeast.  This is always an excellent event for Petty's Garage and the 2018 show was the best yet.  Located locally in Greensboro, NC, the Shriner's Expo is a great way to kick off the Petty's Garage Mobile Tour and create excitement around our upcoming builds.  Perhaps the most exciting is our 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon build.  Serial number #0043 and personally owned by The King, this Demon will be one of the baddest Mopar rides to ever take shape at Petty's Garage.

Richard Petty's #0043 Demon

This Demon, along with another 30-40 hot rods and muscle cars made up the first ever "Petty's Garage" section at the Shriner's Expo.  With this opportunity we were able to not only display a number of our most recent shop vehicles, but many of our customers' builds as well.  We pulled together a unique mix of modern muscle, tricked-out hot rods, and beautifully restored classics.

The Shriner's Expo continues to be a great way to kick off the show season for us, especially with the new Petty's Garage section.  A big thank you to all who entered their vehicles into our section and donated to such a great cause. For those that did not get the opportunity this year be sure to mark your calendars for next year!
